Breaking: Hillary Is On the Short List For VP

Finally some news from the Obama Camp! Hillary Clinton is on the short list. Former Senate majority leader and Senator Obama’s campaign co-chairman Tom Daschle has told ABC1’s Insiders what the presidential hopeful is looking for in a vice presidential candidate.

“The fact that the first African American could get elected president of the United States speaks volumes for the openness and the tremendous inspiration that that may mean, not only for America but for people all over the world,” he said.

Obama’s Efforts Turn Deficit to Lead in Michigan

After months of struggling to overcome a considerable deficit favor of John McCain in Michigan, Barack Obama has stormed back to retake command of the lead in the race to secure Michigan’s seventeen electoral votes in the general election.

Over the following months, support for the Republican nominee in Michigan grew steadily, so that by late May, McCain had established a four-point buffer between he and his Democratic rival, confirmed by surveys from two separate polling firms:…

Which Candidate has a Base Problem?

If the election doesn’t look like it’s going to be close, there could be a snowball effect in which Republican turnout is quite low. If that is the case, the map could turn out to be very, very blue, and Republicans might lose a couple more Senate seats than are generally thought to be in play

This (unlike the comments @ 8:41 & 8:43, which have no evidence for them) is a good post. Balanced, and you are actually pointing out both candidates' strengths and weaknesses. The analysis also suggests an Obama-Clinton ticket…

On FISA: Keith Olbermann and His ‘Blind Devotion’ to Obama

On January 31 of this year, Keith Olbermann donned his most serious face & most indignant voice tone to rail against Bush for supporting telecom immunity & FISA revisions. Last night, Olbermann invited Newsweek’s Alter onto his show to discuss Obama’s support for the FISA & telecom amnesty bill. There wasn’t a word of rational criticism of the bill

As but one example, John Cole was a vehement supporter of Barack Obama throughout the primary. He viciously criticized Hillary Clinton on a regular basis and raised tens of thousands of dollars for Obama's campaign through his blog. But this…

Pretty sad situation in the House. It just points out the crying need in our system for LEADERSHIP. That's the one need that can't be constitutionally ensured. Most people-politicians included-are sheep. They'll settle for…

Michelle Obama Helps to Unite Party Around Her Husband

By giving a speech to women, she helps to unite the party around her husband for the long fight ahead.

Many months ago, Clinton broke down and cried on camera. There was an uproar in the blogging community and in the media. Some accused her of being a fake. Others accused her of being genuine. The crying, it is argued, actually helped Clinton gain…

This year, 6.5 million voters under 30 turned up at the polls.

The combination of a hotly contested Democratic primary between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and the from-the-depths surge to the top by Senator John McCain no doubt helped increase interest in the race among voters under age…

Brutal

This anti-McCain video, put together in February by a Ron Paul supporter, is just brutal. Some of it is a little off the beaten track, but up to the 7 minute mark, it is devastating, especially starting at the 2:30 mark.
