Ron Paul Republican delegates in some Nebraska counties, where there was no actual county Republican party, have been told that they can’t form county parties in order to participate in the Nebraska State Republican convention, even though they followed all the rules to become delegates to their respective county conventions.
Of course this seems to me to be a circular way of preventing there from ever being a party in that county–you can't elect officers and/or central committee folks without having a convention, but you can't have a convention…
