McCain screws up how many troops we have in Iraq

McCain told voters in Wisconsin that we’re back to pre-surge troop levels in Iraq. That’s flat-out wrong. Pre-surge we had 130,000 to 135,000 troops in Iraq. With the surge we had 165,000. Now we have 155,000. In fact, 2/3 of the surge is still there. Why does McCain keep getting Iraq wrong?

Obama camp: McCain ‘politicizing’ troops, clueless on Iraq

Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign is charging that John McCain does not fully comprehend the situation in Iraq and would not be competent enough to be commander in chief, citing the GOP nominees incorrect assessment of troop levels and several other gaffes. McCain also is ‘politicizing’ the troops by using Gen. Petraeus in a fundraising email, they say.

The Obama surrogates panned McCain's invitation to Obama for a joint trip to Iraq as a “political stunt,” and they sharply criticized McCain for distributing a fundraising appeal that displayed a picture of the candidate shaking…

Michael Moore breaks his silence 9/11 Pentagon Videos ?

Michael Moore, the maker of “Sicko” and “Fahrenheit 911,” has been widely criticized for his apparent lack of interest in examining the details of the 9/11 cover story.

An obvious, common sensequestion that no one will answer

5 things that are always on sale

Whether the purchase is as small as an earring or as big as a house, there are some items you should never pay full price for. Here’s how to shop smartly.

With this information, you can craft a bid. When multiple buyers are after the same property, you may have to make your best offer first; when home sales are slow or prices are dropping, it's often best to start with a bid that's lower…

The Boy Scouts’ Free-Speech Fight

The City of Philadelphia wants the Boy Scouts to be prepared ? prepared, that is, to change their views on homosexuality or get out of the city-owned building they have occupied for 80 years. “As a city government we cannot allow discrimination in the delivery of services on public property; that is the issue,” said Mayor Michael Nutter…

But that freedom has come at a price for the Scouts, as private groups and municipalities have withdrawn support for the group or severed longstanding relationships. In California, for example, the city of Berkeley ended an agreement in 1998 to…

McCain Reacts To McClellan with a sweeping, wildly off-the-mark, defensive blanket statement "Every intelligence agency in the world and every assessment said Iraq had WMD"

McCain falsely says that all intelligence agencies thought that Iraq had WMDs when in fact the IAEA, the State Department's Bureau of Energy and Research, Hans Blix, and the Dept. of Energy believed that the evidence suggested that the materiels were not destined for a WMD program.

-Bush said the International Atomic Energy Agency had released a new report stating that Iraq was rebuilding its nuclear weapons facilities. There was no such report. Bush said there was no doubt? about the WMD intelligence possessed by…

The beginning of political wisdom is the realization [that] the government is not really on your side; indeed, it is out to get you.

Although the bully, mugger, the sneak thief, and the con man are not the only types of government operatives, they make up a large proportion of the leading figures in government today.

Sometimes the “political exchange” into which you are hauled kicking and screaming rests on such a ludicrous foundation, however, that honesty compels us to classify it, too, as a mugging. I have in mind such compassionately…

Michelle Obama Outdraws Bush and McCain

This has me gobsmacked. Remember how Bush and McCain were having trouble getting more donors than protesters to show up at their recent Arizona shindigs? Michelle Obama didn’t have that problem.

I like to think its because most people still arent paying that much attention. Note that for fundraising, as discussed in this post, you are dealing with people who care very strongly on one side or another (and our side kicks…

Raytheon’s Pain Ray: Coming to a Protest Near You?

The Defense Department want to use it for protecting Defense resources, peacekeeping, humanitarian missions and other situations in which the use of lethal force is undesirable, but already there have been inquiries from other institutes and wealthy individuals about using it to protect private property.

Transmitted at the speed of light over a 700 yard distance, the Pain Ray is a millimeter-wave beam that penetrates 1/64th of an inch beneath the skin, causing the water molecules there to bubble, producing an intense burning sensation, said to…

Clinton Campaign Concedes The Rules Argument On FL/MI

So…it seems that the Saturday meeting is “just a formality,” after all. The media circus is for our entertainment and the Operation Chaos by the Republican camp may show up as “Obama supporters” to engage with the busloads sent in by the Clinton camp. Obama supporters will NOT be demonstrating!!! As you watch the circus - keep that in mind.

I am not sure that Barack Obama or the DNC objects to such a result and the Clinton campaign has no justifiable basis anymore to object to it. To me, the statements made in today's conference call make tomorrow's meeting a mere formality.

An Eyewitness News 4 photographer was cuffed and cited Thursday morning for disobeying a police officer. It was a situation where the photographer was trying to do his job. And now the Albuquerque Police Department is reviewing the tape to see if the officer crossed the line. (video)

for what it’s worth, I have received a response from Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz. Here it is, in it’s entirety: Joe, I have received your e-mail from earlier today. I want to ensure you that the incident will be…

Prophecy of Retribution by Achad Ha’am, 100 years ago

Zionist immigrants “behave towards the Arabs with hostility and cruelty, infringe upon their boundaries, hit them shamefully without reason, and even brag about it”.

Ha'am makes short work of the argument that lesser breeds can be duped about Zionist intentions and bought off with the benefits of colonialism. “The Arab, like all Semites, has a sharp mind and is full of cunning … [They] understand…

Biden: Obama’s Asked Me To Be “Deeply Involved” In Campaign

Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. yesterday said his one-time presidential rival Sen. Barack Obama has asked him to “play a more prominent” and “deeply involved” role in his campaign, a signal the likely Democratic nominee is looking to burnish his foreign-policy credentials that Republicans are attacking.

Now this, my friends would be a hell-of-a VP, in fact out of all the candidates this guy should have won. But know I completely understand why. The Clinton Machine. Biden or Dodd could not have come close to disrupting the deep, deep,…
